How many times have you thought to maybe just chuck it all and go and live off the grid? No daily grind, no annoying fellow humans, no commute, no stupid boss? Well, how about living in the middle of the ocean in an Unidentified Floating Object home?
These UFO house pods are the invention of the Jet Capsule company. They are a company in Italy that normally builds yachts. It is a self sustaining house with everything you need and it can make up to speeds of nearly seven miles per hour out on the open water.
It’s energy system is an electric motor which is sustained and charged by 430 square feet of solar panels that are located all around the craft. In addition, your new UFO home has water and electric turbines on board that will generate all of the electricity you will need. This is for when the weather may get cloudy or stormy and the solar panels will not store power like they should.
The homes builders say that there is an elastic anchor system in place that they claim will allow the craft to remain steady during storms. There will always be fresh water as there is a desalinization system on board as well as filters that will purify the rain water that falls.
The home has two levels and the entire craft/house is composed and built from fiberglass. There is plenty of space to configure the interior to personal taste and living needs. On the bottom level of the house there is a gigantic glass window so that the home owner can enjoy the undersea sights.
The company is currently raising the money to build its first prototype which they believe will cost them around $800,000. They do say, however, that after the manufacturing and production process has begun, these new UFO house will only cost around $200,000
